April Hicklin Founder

April grew up in Iowa with a love for interior design. She graduated with a BA in Business Management from the University of Northern Iowa and went on to get her Masters in Fashion Merchandising at Polimoda in Florence, Italy. After starting a family with her British husband Justin in London, she switched gears from Fashion to Interiors finding it a better fit for family life and also more rewarding. She renovated houses in London for over 10 years before moving to Boulder, CO in 2023. Her family bought a mid century modern home in South Boulder with scope for a large remodel. April headed up the project and was able to find lots of great suppliers during the project. She has since started her own design build company, bringing outdated homes to life in Boulder. She also got her contractor’s license and is proud to be a woman leader in a typically male dominated industry. She loves coming up with innovative designs that not only look beautiful but also make sense for everyday families who love to entertain and enjoy their homes. She also loves working on site, attention to detail and sticking to timeline and budget. When she’s not working, she spends her time with her three kids, husband and dog Charlie going on hikes, skiing, watching films and travelling. She loves having a house filled with people, usually entertaining with lots of great food and drink.
